The Brief
Find a home to accommodate a lifetime tenant around Waterloo to facilitate a large scale multi-use development.
The Result
After an eight-month search, which involved balancing the charity’s investment criteria with the needs of its life-time tenants we acquired an off-market apartment on Westminster Bridge Road in Waterloo. As part of the search, we canvassed several residential developments of particular interest to the Charity and the tenants. We eventually identified an apartment within one of the favoured developments being marketed for lease and negotiated a purchase with the landlord. The tenants were delighted to be moving to a larger and more modern apartment within the neighbourhood they had grown up in and the Charity was free to offer vacant possession of the building that they had been occupying to their development partners.
