St Peter’s Square
Hammersmith
“Patient, insightful, reassuring and well-connected, Sam was invaluable in helping me find the right property and manage the whole process. He was exceptionally flexible, and always ready to help out with anything, no matter how small.
I'm very grateful, and certainly recommend Edingtons to anyone looking to buy a London property.“
OUR CLIENT
English family moving from Notting Hill.
OUR CHALLENGE
With a third child on the way, our clients wanted to move from their house in Notting Hill to a larger home further west. Appreciating the fine stucco architecture of their existing house they did not want to move to a red brick Victorian terrace of which much of Hammersmith and Chiswick is comprised. Instead, they wanted a home of similar architectural style, with a strong sense of arrival and expansive entertaining space.
THE RESULT
We acquired an imposing five bedroom home on the Grade II listed St Peter’s Square. The square was completed in 1830 as part of George Scott’s development of his Ravenscourt Park Estate. The house was of stucco architecture and included in its garden a more recently built studio comprising of a bedroom, bathroom and galleried reception area – perfect for family visiting from abroad and a place separate from the main house for children to occupy. Faced with an asking price of £4.35m we acquired at under £3.4m.
